Karaja: A town located in the Azerbaijan province close to Heriz. Many rugs are woven in this area. They are single weft, woven on a cotton foundation and have a distinctive hooked hexagon medallion. Antique Karaja large rugs resemble those of Heriz except that they are single weft. Circa 1930, in reasonable condition.
