A beautiful and extremely fine knotted Senneh Runner in
Herati - Diamond design, made by Kurds who live in or around the town of
Senneh. Senneh Carpets have a long
tradition of carpet making and are one of the most sought-after carpets in the
Persian stream.
The Senneh weavers use a special tool not unlike a huge claw
to beat the weft strands together until they form an exceptionally compact
foundation for the pile. this makes the rug extremely dense and heavy. Senneh
