This splendid Persian silk Kashan rug was belonging to
a private family collection. It measures 205 x 136cm (6'9"x4'6") and
was made around the first half of 20th century. The eye-catching all over
design decorated with densely interlinked open field and floral vines enclosed
with similarly detailed borders are often seen in silk Kashan rugs belonging to
that period, however the luxurious silk and tightly woven foundation being in
almost immaculate conditions defines the rug to be the highest quality pieces.
